MBU Athletics Names Michelle Hanock as Assistant AD for Internal Operations

ST. LOUIS – Missouri Baptist University has announced the hiring of Michelle Hanock as its new Assistant Athletic Director for Internal Operations & Facilities.

Hanock has extensive experience in K-12 athletic administration, coaching, and program development, most recently serving as Athletic Director and K-8 Assistant for 9-12 programs at Visitation Academy. In that role, she led a comprehensive K-12 athletic department serving more than 700 students and overseeing 14 sports.

Facility and event operations were a key component of the role, including oversight of home-contest logistics, volunteer management, and concessions, as well as leading major facility upgrades. Projects included the development of a turf field, upgraded tennis courts, a new press box, outdoor concessions, bleacher enhancements, and the addition of locker rooms, a team room, and a sports media space.

"We're excited to welcome someone with this level of experience and leadership to our staff," said MBU Director of Athletics Jeff Fore. "Michelle's ability to manage complex operations, build strong relationships, and create a positive experience for student-athletes makes her a great fit for MBU. This role is critical to the day-to-day success of our department, and we're confident they will make an immediate impact on our internal operations and overall culture."

In addition to administrative duties, Hanock has coaching experience across multiple sports, including varsity and junior varsity basketball, soccer, volleyball, cross country, and track.

Hanock's professional experience also includes roles as a K-8 Physical Education Instructor at St. Cecilia School & Academy and as a Health, Physical Education, and Women's Health instructor at Ursuline Academy, where she developed curriculum, mentored students, and coordinated programs.

A graduate of Missouri Baptist University, Hanock holds a Master of Educational Administration, a Master of Science in Education K-12, and a Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine. Professional certifications include Certified Athletic Administrator (CAA), Registered Athletic Director (RAA), and Registered Middle School Athletic Administrator (RSMAA), as well as First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications.

"Returning to Missouri Baptist University feels like coming home," said Hanock. "As an alumna and former student-athlete, I am grateful for the opportunity to give back to a community that helped shape who I am today. I look forward to supporting our student-athletes, coaches, and staff by building strong operational systems that enhance their experience and help Spartan Athletics continue to grow and succeed."

In the role of Assistant Athletic Director for Internal Operations & Facilities, Hanock will support internal processes across MBU Athletics, including event management, facility coordination, and operational efficiency, to enhance the overall student-athlete experience.
