Brighton Hill joined the Missouri Baptist University football staff in June 2018 as the Spartans’ defensive line coach and strength and conditioning coordinator. His recruiting territories include the states of Missouri, Arkansas and Ohio, along with the Southeast region.
Hill comes to Missouri Baptist after a successful stint as the Director of Strength & Conditioning for men’s basketball at NCAA Division I Arkansas State University in 2017-18. While at ASU, he also served as an assistant strength coordinator for football.
Prior to Arkansas State, Hill spent a season at one of the nation’s top NCAA DIII football programs in Baldwin Wallace University. For the Yellow Jackets, Hill held the position of linebackers coach before moving on to Arkansas State.
From 2012 to 2016, the Cleveland, Ohio native was a strength and conditioning coach for men’s basketball at the University of South Carolina. Working under head basketball coach Frank Martin, Hill was a key component in training the student-athletes that led the Gamecocks to the NIT Second Round in 2015-16 and the NCAA Final Four in 2016-17.
Other stops for Hill included Gray Collegiate Academy in Columbia, S.C. where he was fullbacks coach and team chaplain (2012), and Hilton Head Christian Academy (S.C.) serving as running backs coach (2006).
Hill is a certified USA Weightlifting sports performance coach and also has his certification in CPR and AED.
Brighton attended the University of South Carolina and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Experimental Psychology while minoring in Criminal Law.
