Shawn Schnabel

Shawn Schnabel comes to Missouri Baptist after spending seven seasons as the offensive line coach at Black Hills State University.

Schnabel coached four RMAC All-Conference offensive linemen during his time at BHSU. His offensive line paved the way for record-breaking offensive performances including single game, single season, and career rushing records.

Before Black Hills State, Schnabel spent three years at T.F. Riggs High School in Pierre, South Dakota, where he was a freshman football coach, weight room supervisor, and summer strength and conditioning coach.

During his playing days, Schnabel was an offensive lineman and three-time national champion at the University of Sioux Falls, winning the 2006, 2008, and 2009 NAIA crowns. The Cougars went 56-1 during his four years, with the lone loss coming in the 2007 national championship game. Schnabel graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor’s of Science in biology and secondary education and was twice named an Academic All-American.

Schnabel also earned his master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Black Hills State in May 2016.
