The MBU men's soccer team remains winless in the American Midwest Conference after two AMC losses last week. The Spartans are now 5-10 overall, 0-6 in the AMC.
The first contest of the week was a 1-2 loss to Williams Baptist College in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas on Tuesday. Sophomore Damon Bower (Poplar Bluff, Mo./Poplar Bluff HS) scored MBU's lone goal, with the assist coming from senior Saul Bush (England). Junior goalkeeper Ger Coppinger (Ireland) recorded three saves. 
 
The Spartans ended the week on Saturday with a 0-5 loss to William Woods University at Soccer Park in Fenton.  Both the Owls and the Spartans took 22 shots in the game, but MBU failed to connect. Coppinger recorded five saves in the losing effort.
