The MBU men's basketball team went 1-2 in AMC play last week to drop to 3-4 in the American Midwest Conference, 11-11 overall.The Spartans opened the week of play with a re-scheduled game at #24 Park University (14-7, 7-1). The Pirates gave the Spartan no hope in the contest, running away with a 105-65 win. Senior guard
Brandon Roberson led MBU with 15 points. The Spartans picked up their lone win of the week on the road at William Woods University (5-16, 1-6) on Thursday. The Spartans edged the Owls 83-77. Roberson and junior forward
Rondu Stevens scored 20 points each.
The Spartans closed out the week with a 73-78 loss at home to Hannibal-LaGrange College (7-13, 2-5). Senior guard
Kyle Hubbard paced the Spartans with an MBU career high 31 points.
With a 3-4 record, the Spartans currently hold the fifth spot of eight teams in the AMC.
Missouri Baptist will return to Muncy Gymnasium on Thursday, February 4th, when they host Park, facing the Pirates for the second time in nine days. On Saturday, they will take a break from AMC play, when they host Logan University.
