The MBU men's basketball team's season came to a close, when they were upset 68-77 by Harris-Stowe State University in American Midwest Conference Tournament Opening Round play at Muncy Gymnasium on Thursday.

The sixth seeded Hornets upset the third seeded Spartans, to take the season series 2-1, and to advance to the AMC Tournament Semifinal Round. MBU seniors Kyle Hubbard and Brandon Roberson closed out their careers, scoring 24 points and 18 points respectively. No other Spartans reached double digits, while five Hornets scored 11 or more points.

The Spartans finished the season with a 15-15 record, their best finish in three seasons.
