Fenton, Mo.- The Missouri Baptist men's soccer team wanted to keep their momentum going after their previous win over Harris-Stowe. After three goals in the first half by William Woods the Spartans were unable to get their offense going falling 4-0.
The team was looking to add another conference win over William Woods and knew they had to score early and often against a tough team. In the first half, the Owls were able to score first in the fifth minute on a goal by Marcelo Carrerio to make it 1-0. Marcelo Carrerio was the offense for the Owls as he added his second of the day in the 25th minute to make it 2-0.
The Spartans kept trying to get back into the game until Marcelo Carrerio added his third of the day to make it 3-0 William Woods at the half. The Spartans were outshot in the first half 14-2.
In the second half, the pressure kept coming from William Woods until Marcelo Carrerio added his fourth goal in the 55th minute to make it a final 4-0. The Spartans were outshot in the game 24-6. MBU's

The teams record falls to 1-10-1 on the season but will look to get back on the winning track when they head to Hannibal-LaGrange University on October 12th at 1:00 p.m.
