SPARTANS CLIP EAGLES

ST. LOUIS –The Spartan offense scored early and often against the Judson University Eagles on Saturday. Missouri Baptist recorded 16 goals from eight different players to secure the much needed victory.

The Missouri Baptist men's lacrosse team dominated the match from the beginning. The Spartans scored within the first two minutes, and held a 4-0 lead after the five minute mark of the first quarter.

The Spartan defense also played well in the match. MBU did not surrender a goal until midway through the first quarter, and only allowed three in the first half. The Spartans tacked on six more goals in the first two quarters of play, and led the Eagles 10-3 at halftime.

Missouri Baptist continued their dominance in the second half. The offense netted two goals in the third quarter and four goals in the fourth. The defense surrendered only three additional goals, and MBU defeated Judson 16-6.

Freshman Aaron McClintock led the Spartans in scoring with five goals. Both Ian Brosch and Mike Howle added a hat trick for Missouri Baptist in the winning effort.

Josh Elmore recorded a hat trick and led Judson in scoring. Taylor Stark led the Eagles in assists with two.

The Spartans will face Washington University on April 2nd at St. Louis Soccer Park in Fenton, Mo. Match time is set for 7:00 pm.
