ST. LOUIS – After leading the Missouri Baptist Spartans to a 3-0 week, Maddy Hammack was named the American Midwest Conference Volleyball Player of the Week on Monday.
Hammack was outstanding for the Spartans and led the No. 18-ranked Missouri Baptist to wins over Lindenwood (Mo.), Freed-Hardeman and Mid-Continent University. Over the course of the week, the senior averaged 4.63 kills/set and recorded 37 kills overall with an attack percentage of .326.
"Maddy displayed tremendous senior leadership this week," said MBU Head Coach Chris Nichols. "She has worked exceptionally hard in practice in order to be effective in matches. Her blocking ability was huge against Freed-Hardeman and was a key component to our success on Friday."
Hammack currently ranks 13th in the NAIA in kills per game in 2013 with an average of 4.1.
