ST. LOUIS – [RESULTS] Missouri Baptist women's wrestling posted its first win of the season against Lindenwood "B" at the University of the Cumberland Duals on Friday, but dropped duals to McKendree, King and Life Universities after one day of competition.

Missouri Baptist (1-3) was led by big performances from Erika Mihalca. The Spartan newcomer won two of her three bouts on the day, both by pin. In her first matchup, Mihalca pinned McKendree's Gabrielle Weyhrich at 130lbs to pull the Spartans within two before the team dropped that dual to the Bearcats 30-19.

Mihalca's second win came against Lindenwood "B" as she helped to lead the Spartans to their first win on the season. In that dual, she defeated Haidee Cardenas by fall just 59 seconds into the bout. MBU went on to defeat Lindenwood 24-19.

Overall, the Spartans were shutout by perennial powerhouse, King University. King ran-off big win after big win as a familiar face also got into the action. At 136lbs, Forrest Molinari, now of King University, defeated Sarah Bollinger 10-0 on the way to the 43-0 King Tornado's victory.

Missouri Baptist will continue the season on Saturday as the University of the Cumberlands Duals are set to begin day two of action.
