ST. LOUIS – Missouri Baptist men's soccer faced the AMC No. 3-ranked Hannibal LaGrange in their first American Midwest Conference (AMC) game of the season on Wednesday and continued to struggle to find the back of the net. The Spartans were held scoreless in a 2-0 defeat at home.

The MBU offense again had issues on a wet day in St. Louis. In the first half it was Joao Junqueira posted the first Trojan tally to make it a 1-0 lead. In the second half, Felipe Mendes put the second mark on the board against the Spartans, and that is how things ended.

Missouri Baptist ended the game with six shots with four on goal.

The Spartans will be back at home on Saturday, September 20, 2014, at 7:00 p.m. as Avila will come to town.
