GAME PREVIEW: MBU AT CONCORDIA (MICH.)

Missouri Baptist (2-7) at Concordia (5-4)

THE GAME: Missouri Baptist University will play the 10th game of its 2016  schedule on Saturday, November 5 at 12:00pm when they face the Concordia (Mich.) Cardinals in Ann Arbor, Mich.

GETTING BACK ON TRACK: Missouri Baptist had a fast start on Saturday against the No. 4-ranked St. Francis Cougars as Gunnar Griffin and Isaiah King put the Spartans on top twice. The Spartans scored their the first two offensive plays of the game as the big play potential was realized early.

POSITIVE OUTLOOK: After getting its scoring touch back against the Cougars, the Spartan offense moved in a positive direction once again and will need a similar, more consistent effort in order to grab a win on the road this week.

SCOUTING CONCORDIA: The Cardinals are looking to get back to its winning ways after suffering a 55-13 loss at the hands of No. 1-ranked Marian a week ago. The final two games of the year will be against teams that are below .500 in Missouri Baptist and Lindenwood-Belleville (0-8).

The Cardinals have had a bit of a see-saw season, but will look to a strong ground game to get things back on the right foot. The team is led by running back Joe Connor and quarterback Tyler Fehler. The duo will lead a run-first option offense.

Connor leads the team with 868 yards on the ground this season and is averaging seven yards per carry and just over 108 yards per game.

FOR THE RECORD: MBU is is looking for three wins for the first time in team history... Maleek Ross set a new single-game and career sack record after his 4.5 sack performance three weeks  ago against Olivet Nazarene (Ill.)... The defense also set new team sack and TFL records... Isaiah King set a new All-Time MBU receiving record at MBU in two categories against St. Francis (Ind.) with an 88-yard touchdown reception and a 176-yard receiving day, both new records
