Neither team managed to find the net in the contest. Missouri Baptist's record shifted to 2-1-2 after the tie. For the game, Missouri Baptist topped the Eagles in the shot department 19-16. Aris Nukic led the way with eight shots, while Ben Boyd and Gerardo Espinoza totaled two each.
Paul Ledgerwood nearly broke the scoreless tie in the 26th minute when his shot rattled off the post. From there, both keepers kept the game going with save after save. Freshman Braedan Passalis finished the night with five saves, while Eagle Brandon Patterson had four.
The Spartans now look forward to conference play. They'll travel to Fulton, Mo. on Tuesday to take on William Woods. The match is set to start at 7:00 pm.
