SPARTANS THUMP STLCOP IN HOME FINALE

ST. LOUIS—[BOX SCORE] Missouri Baptist Women's Soccer jumped out to an 8-0 halftime lead and cruised to victory against St. Louis College of Pharmacy on Wednesday afternoon.

The Spartans scored twice in the first minute to set the tone for the day. Cassie Willhite finished a rebound off a Haylee Eastridge shot just 23 seconds into the match. Allie Heinz then made it 2-0 36 seconds later.

Jackie Hagan then scored her first of the year in the sixth minute after the Eutectics failed to clear away a Spartan corner kick. Two goals from Eastridge and one each from Riley Janvrin, Desiree Robinson, and Hayley Guerrero added up to an eight goal halftime lead for Missouri Baptist.

The Spartans would add two more after the break. Eastridge completed her hat trick with her 26th goal of the year in the 59th minute off an assist from Danielle Wilde. Freshman Kayla Graham got on the board seven minutes later when she finished off an Alyssa Matz corner.

MBU launched 16 shots on goal in the match while the Eutectics managed just one on Spartan keeper Alex Lair.

The Spartans are now 9-6-1 overall and 7-4 in AMC play with one regular season match remaining. They'll take on Central Baptist College on Saturday in Conway, Ark. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 pm.
