ST. LOUIS—[BOX SCORE] Missouri Baptist Women's Soccer concluded its regular season with an 8-0 win over Central Baptist College on Saturday. The Spartans won their third straight, outscoring their opponents 21-1 in the process.
Cassie Willhite and Haylee Eastridge once again teamed up to get MBU off to a hot start. Willhite scored twice in the first 17 minutes sandwiched around one from Eastridge. Eastridge then added her 28th goal of the season in the 32nd minute. Allie Heinz and Jackie Hagan each registered an assist.
Desiree Robinson's third of the season (35th minute) gave the Spartans a 5-0 halftime lead. They kept the pedal down after the break as Casey Gutting scored twice, three minutes apart. Haylee Eastridge picked up her fourth assist and eighth point of the day on Gutting's second goal. The senior from Hillsboro, Mo. finishes the regular season with 28 goals and 66 points, both tops in the American Midwest Conference.
Riley Janvrin closed out the scoring in 76th minute with a helper from Ellie Preis. The Spartans outshot the Mustangs 21-0 for the match. Kayla Graham got the start in goal for MBU.
The Spartans finish the regular season with an overall record of 10-6-1 and 8-4 in the AMC. If Lindenwood-Belleville defeats Harris-Stowe on Monday, the Spartans will be the six seed in the AMC Quarerfinals and will travel to Park next Friday at 3 pm. If the Hornets win, MBU will host Lindenwood-Belleville on Friday.
