ST. LOUIS—[BOX SCORE] The Spartans had another big win, this time knocking out No. 14 Montana Tech. The victory allowed Missouri Baptist to advance to the next elimination round of the NAIA National Championship Tournament.

In a game considered to be evenly-matched, each squad put together a notable effort to keep up with the other throughout. Missouri Baptist found their rhythm after a 25-20 loss in the first set, allowing them to move past the Orediggers. Montana Tech put up a fight, but the Spartans ultimately took sets two, three and four each by just two points (27-25, 25-23, 26-24).

Marion Couraud led all around with a .256 hitting percentage, 17 kills, and 15 digs. Ana Oliveira trailed close behind with 16 kills and 14 digs.

Cate Cigarini and Tina Medanovic had solid performances in the middle, as well. Cigarini clocked in 12 kills and two blocks, and Medanovic finished with 11 kills and four blocks.

Mary Grace Masters made her tournament debut finishing the match with 14 digs, while Rachel Pooleadded 53 more assists to her season total of 1,468.

The Spartans will take on the College of Idaho Yotes who is also currently undefeated in the tournament. The match begins at 6 pm.
