ST. LOUIS—[BOX SCORE] Missouri Baptist Men's Soccer fell 2-0 to William Woods on Saturday night at CBC Stadium. The Owls broke the deadlock in the 54th minute and added an insurance marker late to seal the win. 

Neither team claimed ownership in the first half as possession went back and forth. Although the Owls attempted 12 total shots, none hit the target. At the other end, the Spartans attempted three shots but were also unable to force a save from the Woods' keeper.

The second half started similarly until the visitors finally found the breakthrough nine minutes in. Satchel Manley delivered a cross into the penalty area and Pedro Ferro got a head on it past Spartan keeper Davide Bucarelli.

The Owls doubled the advantage 25 minutes later when Rodrigo Alves fired home from 20 yards out. A two goal lead would prove to be plenty as the Spartan attack went without a shot on goal in the match. William Woods managed four on target.

With the defeat, the Spartans fall to 2-6 overall and 0-2 in the AMC. They'll travel to Kansas City on Wednesday to take on Park. Kickoff is set for 7:30 pm.
