ST. LOUIS—[BOX SCORE] Women's Volleyball had another successful match, this time against the Saint Louis College of Pharmacy Eutectics. The squad has now advanced their conference record to 6-0.
The match-up may have begun with a Spartan error, but they immediately regained composure. From there, MBU found the lead with ease as they rolled through the first two sets (25-13, 25-15).
The Eutectics seemed to gain more momentum heading into the third set, as they gave the Spartans a run for their money. The match was neck-and-neck until Maggie Sorensen fired back with five consecutive kills, putting MBU in the lead. From then on, it was smooth sailing as Missouri Baptist took the sweep (25-21).
It was another team effort, as every eligible Spartan made their way onto the court. Marion Couraud led the Spartans in kills once again, closing the evening with a total of 14. Sorensen was close behind with eight total, and a hitting percentage of .429.
Rachel Poole was back in action, adding 29 more assists to her record, increasing her total to 771. Natalie Hecht also made a contribution of assists with a total of 15.
The Spartans are back in action Thursday at 7 pm. The Stephens Stars will make their way to the Petty SRC for MBU's fifth consecutive conference match.
