ST. LOUIS—Missouri Baptist Women's Wrestling lost to Wayland Baptist (Tex.) but defeated Bacone College (Okla.) on Thursday night.

The Spartans started with a 38-10 defeat at the hands of the Pioneers of Wayland Baptist. Erika Mihalca (130) and Darcie Manning O'Brien contributed the points. Mihalca defeated Rebekah Cordova by tech fall. O'Brien knocked off Ja'Keai Cappel by pin.

The second dual of the night came against the Bacone College Warriors. The Spartans were in control from the start on the way to a 31-14 victory. MBU took four of five matches not including open forfeits. Erika Mihalca and Darcie Manning O'Brien each improved to 2-0 on the night while Marki Simmons (143) and Brighton Hutton (155) sealed the deal with wins in their respective classes.
