ST. LOUIS—Women's Volleyball continued their winning ways on Tuesday evening, as they gained their 14
th sweep of the 2018 season, this time over St. Mary-of-the-Woods College (Ind.). This win pushes the Spartans' win streak to 21.
Missouri Baptist rolled out to a quick lead in set one, with five consecutive serves from
Rachel Luebbers. The Pomeroys put themselves on the board at 5-1, but the Spartans would maintain a hefty lead. Leading 14-8, a kill from freshman
Sophia Cristiani put Luebbers back at the service line, where she dished out seven more. MBU would go on to take set one, 25-9.
Set two followed suit with Luebbers back to serve, once again. Pomeroy errors combined with smart plays from MBU's front line put them ahead quickly (7-0). The Spartans would keep a comfortable lead throughout, cruising through set two, 25-12.
The third set followed trend as the Spartans continued to rack up points (10-2). SMWC eventually gained possession, leading to a five-point score run (10-7). However, it was to no avail. MBU would go on to take set three, and the sweep (25-12).

Mallory Moran right behind, each clocking out at six (.667 attack percentages).

The Spartans travel to Columbia this weekend to compete in the Cougars' Fall Classic. Their first match is on Friday, October 12 against the No. 23 ranked Orediggers of Montana Tech. First serve is set for 1:00 p.m.
