BOX SCORE] Missouri Baptist men's basketball dropped an 89-54 decision to Division I Arkansas State in exhibition action on Monday night.
After a
Kai Woodfall triple to open the game, the Spartans struggled to find their touch from behind the arc while the Red Wolves, conversely, made 12-26 from three. Arkansas State also blocked seven MBU shots and won the battle on the glass 45-33.
James McKelvin came off the bench for Missouri Baptist and put in a solid showing with 15 points, making 6-11 from the field.
Callum Barker pulled down seven rebounds to lead the Spartans in that category. MBU came away with an 11-9 advantage in offensive boards.
The Spartans will now turn their attention to conference play, beginning Thursday on the road against St. Louis College of Pharmacy. Tipoff at the pillbox is scheduled for 7:30 pm.
