FINAL RESULTS] MBU Women's Indoor Track and Field placed second (83 points) at the Jim Green Invite in Jacksonville, Ill. The Spartans had several high finishes including three victories.
Megan McCrary was the star of the day for MBU. The sophomore won the Triple Jump with a distance of 11.03m. She also finished second in the 60m Hurdles (9.58 seconds) and fourth in the Long Jump (4.89m).
McCrary was also part of the winning 4x400m Relay along with
Kaiah Farid,
Alyssa Dudley, and
Faith Reynolds. The foursome's time of 4:09.75 bested second place William Woods by more than three seconds. Reynolds also took third in the 400m dash (1:01.06).
Sydney Neiter claimed first place in the High Jump. The Ste. Genevieve native recorded a height of 1.57m. Junior
Andrea Hughes took fourth in the shot put after a 10.76m throw.
Jynna Fritz posted two high finishes as well. The sophomore finished third (of 42) in the 1 Mile Run (5:33.29) and fifth (of 39) in the 800m (2:29.71).
The Spartans are back in action next weekend at the Hoosier Hills Invite in Bloomington, Ind.
