MARION, Ind. –
Mia Duncan became an NAIA All-American for the fourth time in her legendary Missouri Baptist University career with a third-place finish in the NAIA National Championship 3000m Steeplechase event on Friday.

The Spartans had three qualify for the NAIA National Championships, hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University, including Duncan and
Adrienne Rockette in the 3000m steeplechase and
Alaina Scott in the pole vault.

Duncan, the American Midwest Conference Female Outstanding Track Athlete of the Meet and Female Athlete of the Meet, won the 3000m steeplechase preliminaries on Wednesday evening with an 11:08.90 to edge out Elysse Fleming from the University of British Columbia. In the finals on Friday, she clocked in at 10:50.52 to take third place and earn All-America status in the event for the second time in her career.

Rockette ran in the preliminaries for the steeplechase as well, taking 16
th overall with an 11:35.89. Scott competed in the pole vault on Thursday night, successfully clearing 3.50m on her third attempt and securing 13
th after three failed tries at 3.65m. Â
