MEN'S LACROSSE WINS SECOND STRAIGHT

ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The Men's Lacrosse team went head to head with the Eagles of Robert Morris University on Friday at Spartan Field. After a slow start, the Spartans came out on top, reestablishing a win streak.

The start of the match remained scoreless for about five minutes until Robert Morris's Martin Hunter put one past Ates . The Eagles managed to score two more before Devin Mayer put MBU on the board. The Spartans entered the second quarter behind by two (3-1).

MoBap managed to find their groove in the second, as they held off the Eagles the whole 15 minutes. Just a few minutes into the period, Sean Hess tied things up with two back-to-back goals. Austin Dahl, Jaxon Haas and Andy Coulter followed suit each putting in a goal for the home team. Hess and Dahl would score another each before halftime, giving the Spartans an 8-3 lead.

After ten minutes of rest, MBU came out firing, once again. The Spartans increased their lead by nine before RMU scored again. The Eagles managed to put in a few more goals in the final half of the game, but they were no match for MoBap, as they charged past RMU's defense. The Spartans took the win over Robert Morris, 18-6.

A whopping total of nine Spartans scored this match. Sean Hess led the way with a total of five goals. Austin Dahl was close behind with three, as well as two assists. Jaxon Haas contributed two goals and a season high of five assists, while Luke Slagle and Andrew Spillars each scored their first goals of the season.
