BOX GAME 2] Missouri Baptist Softball dropped two games to NCAA Division II opponent Quincy University on Thursday afternoon. The Hawks took the opener 8-3 and the second game 4-1 to complete the sweep.

The Spartans went behind 3-0 early in game one and fell short in the comeback attempt. The offense finally kicked in in the sixth inning with RBIs from
Meagan Elder and Meaghan Mollet. The Hawks would hold on, however, for a five-run victory.

Game two turned into a pitcher's duel between MBU's
Ally Dunaway and Quincy's Emily Griskell. After the Hawks took a 1-0 lead in the second, Missouri Baptist tied it on an RBI single from
Baleigh Koester in the home half. The game would stay 1-1 all the way into the seventh.

Quincy struck for three runs in the seventh to take a 4-1 lead. The Spartans had runners on second and third in the bottom frame but could not cash in.

MBU is now 28-15 overall. They'll resume AMC play on Saturday at noon against Williams Baptist (20-16, 11-9 AMC).
