ST. LOUIS—The No. 2 ranked men's volleyball team made a solid return to the Petty SRC on Tuesday evening.  The Spartans swept the Missouri Valley Vikings, claiming their ninth win in a row.

After a start with an error on each side, opposite hitter Jack Huizinga hit the service line for MBU (1-1). The sophomore handed out three consecutive service aces, putting the Spartans ahead, 4-1. They'd maintain the lead for the remainder of the set, eventually taking a 25-16 win.

Set two was a slower start for Missouri Baptist. Despite a quick jump out to the lead, errors began to take over, allowing MVC to tie up the score at eight apiece. The Spartans swiftly recuperated, however. Kills from Luka Cajic, Steven Rodriguez, and Miljan Kastratovic would push them ahead by seven (16-9). From there, MBU rolled through set two, 25-18.

Set three was another quick run for MBU, as they continued to dish out kills and service aces while errors weighed down the Vikings. Another kill from Kastratovic would seal the deal for the Spartans, as they took their fourth consecutive sweep, 25-16.

The team heads to Sioux City, Iowa this week to take on multiple conference opponents. They will first see the Defenders of Dordt College on Thursday at 7 p.m.
