NAIA INDOOR TRACK & FIELD NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS PREVIEW

BROOKINGS, S.D. – Missouri Baptist Indoor Track & Field will be well represented at the NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships this weekend as the Spartans send five participants across six events. Maegan Saleh, Emily Bayer, Megan McCrary, Adam Vincent, and Jordan Crawford will head to Brookings, South Dakota after hitting NAIA Standards in their respective events.
 
Megan McCrary qualified for two events in the triple jump and the pentathlon. The senior hit the NAIA A standard in the triple jump with an 11.49m effort on December 6 at the Mizzou Holiday Opener. In the pentathlon, McCrary's 3039 points at the Principia College Relays on February 1 gave her first place and secured the NAIA B standard.
 
Jordan Crawford secured his trip to South Dakota back on January 24 in the Saint Ambrose Invitational. The Douglasville, Georgia native logged a time of 12:58.73 which hit the NAIA A standard. He hit the mark again at the AMC Championships on February 8 with a 13:20.34.
 
Maegan Saleh is the third Spartan to hit the NAIA A standard after a strong performance at the John Craft Invite. The sophomore from St. Louis took home the gold on January 18 with a 5.89m leap. She hit the mark again with a first-place, 5.71m effort at the AMC Championships in Elsah, Illinois.
 
Adam Vincent was the final male to qualify for the Spartans. The junior pole vaulter from Poplar Bluff, Missouri hit the NAIA B standard at the Illinois College Hilltop Invitational on February 21. Vincent also earned first place for his 4.65m performance.
 
Emily Bayer rounds out the field for the program, earning a spot in the one-mile run. The sophomore from Imperial, Missouri took home the gold in the event and the NAIA B standard at the Principia College Relays on February 1.
 
The NAIA National Championships begin on Thursday, March 5 at noon. Events run over the course of three days (March 5-7). MBU events are shown below and a link to the entire schedule of events can be found at the top of this page.

  • Mile (Final) – Saturday, 12:15 p.m.
