ST. LOUIS – Freshman Shaun Roberts earned American Midwest Conference Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week (No. 3) for his performance in the 100 m dash at the Billiken Invitational on Saturday (March 29). Roberts also took AMC Athlete of the Week during the indoor track and field season, so this is his second AMC accolade overall.

At the Billiken Invitational, Roberts finished in second place out of 39 with a time of 10.75, just .20 off from hitting an NAIA 'B' standard. This performance is even more impressive knowing that it was Roberts' first time competing in the 100 m at the collegiate level.

The freshman will compete again in the Joey Haynes Invite, hosted by South East Missouri State on Friday (April 4).
