ST. LOUIS – Missouri Baptist Men's Basketball has been picked to finish second in the AMC, according to the conference's preseason Coaches' Poll released on Wednesday. The Spartans went 15-9 overall and 10-4 in the AMC last season.
Led by third year Head Coach
Preston Ingram, this year's squad is almost identical to the team that finished third in the conference last spring. The Spartans' return their entire starting five highlighted by leading scorers
John Yaeger and
Brendon Hardy.
The new campaign begins Friday with the inaugural Missouri Baptist Classic inside the Carl & Deloris Petty SRC. The Spartans will take on Talladega College in the home opener at 7 pm followed by a matchup with College of the Ozarks at 3 pm on Saturday.
