Quincy, Ill. – Milos Vuckovic and the Missouri Baptist University men's tennis team concluded their fall schedule in style at the Quincy University Invitational.
 
Vuckovic and his doubles partner Dragan Omcikus battled through 3 different duos, all from Quincy University, winning 6-4 in the first round, 6-4 in the semis, and 6-3 in the finals to take home the QU Invitational Title. MBU's top duo has complied an impressive 7-1 record this fall.
 
Vuckovic's success continued during his singles tournament in the "A Draw" bracket. The Subotica, Serbia senior won in straight sets 6-2, 6-2, against his opponent from QU, Samuele Contestabile. In the semi-finals the Spartan competitor took down Grand View's Dylan Ramsay 6-2, 7-6 to advance into the finals. Pitted up against University of Missouri-St. Louis competitor Marcos Navas, Vuckovic finished his impressive tournament sweeping the sets 6-3, 6-4 to claim the individual title.
 
Timofey Tokmakov and Filip Petrovic also picked up a win in the doubles bracket, 6-2, against Daniel Sanchez and Nicholas Crokens of Quincy before falling 4-6 against Grand View.
 
Tokmakov went 1-1 in singles competition in the "B Draw" bracket defeating his opponent from Grand View 6-1, 6-0, before losing to UMSL's Jose Mayorga 4-6, 3-6.
 
Freshman Donald Feick picked up his first collegiate victory with a strong performance against Alec Mefford of QU, winning 6-1, 6-0 in the "C-Draw" bracket. Feick finished 1-2 on the tournament.
 
Omcikus (A-Draw) and Petrovic (B-Draw) battled in their respective singles brackets but ultimately failed to pull off a victory in their tightly contested matches.
 
Quincy University coach Ethan Arns stated, "I received many kind words from your players about how my players were great sports. Please pass on the same to your players. They were great to have and very polite and respectful."
