MAUMELLE, Ark. – Missouri Baptist Women's Golf got the spring season underway at the CBC Mustang Invite on Monday and Tuesday. The Spartans finished fourth in the team competition with a two-day total of 782, four shots behind Lyon in third. The Country Club of Arkansas, a par 72 playing 5946 yards, hosted the event.
Jessica Caraker led the way for MBU, narrowly missing her first career Top 10. The junior posted rounds of 90 and 97 for a career-best tie for 11
th.
Newcomers and former Rend Lake CC teammates
Carlie Van Patten (103-91) and
Grace Coleman (100-94) tied for 18
th.
Taylor Stimpson (115-100) and
Maclovia Stubblefield (107-108) tied for 24
th.
The Spartans are back in action in two weeks (March 29-30) at the William Woods Spring Invite in Fulton, Mo.
