MBU Women’s Golf Takes Fifth at AMC Championship

MELBOURNE, Ark. –   Missouri Baptist University women's golf concluded its 2024-25 season at the American Midwest Conference Championship at Cooper Hawk on Tuesday afternoon. The Spartans took fifth place out of seven teams.
 
MBU finished with 701 strokes over two rounds, 82 strokes off the pace of the Columbia College Cougars. The team finished 125 over par after going +72 on day one and +53 on day two.
 
Priscila Rodriguez climbed into a top-10 position after rebounding from an 85 on day one with an 80 on day two. She finished with 165 strokes, 21 over par, and 19 strokes behind the leader, Ellie Soderholm from CC.
 
Other notable performances were Lauren Ice and Chelsea Young, who both placed inside the top 20. Ice shot an 85 followed by an 89 to take 15th, while Young rebounded from a 96 with an 83 on day two to take 20th.
