MAUMELLE, Ark. – Missouri Baptist University women's golf won the CBC Fall Invitational at the Country Club of Arkansas on Tuesday afternoon.
GG Rogers led the way for the Spartans with a fifth-place individual finish as the Spartans claimed the victory by 26 strokes.
Rogers, a sophomore from St. Louis, paced MBU after putting up a 94 on day one and followed up with an 82 during the second round on Tuesday. She finished 22 over par for the tournament in fifth place, 18 strokes off the pace of the tournament champion Kendra Harness from Williams Baptist University.
Three spots behind Rogers was freshman
Priscila Rodriguez in eighth. The Cordoba, Mexico, native improved by 10 strokes after day one with an 86 on day two including a five-hole stretch where she shot -1 from holes 9-13.
Elena Montalban (+41) and
Chelsea Young (+43) additionally finished back-to-back in 10
th and 11
th, respectively.
The Spartans wrap up the fall schedule at the Grand View Invitational in Ankeny, Iowa, beginning on Monday, Oct. 14.
