ST. LOUIS- Missouri Baptist (18) women's wrestling hosted a dual today (Nov. 15) against Westminster College where the Blue Jays posed no threat to the team.
The night started off with
Alyssa Quezaire at 109- pounds and
Reese Compton at 116-pounds winning their match ups by forfeit, bringing the score to 10-0.
Juliana Diaz, who wrestled up a weight class at 123-pounds, set the ball rolling for the Spartans with the first contested match
 and made quick work of her opponent. Diaz knocked off her opponent with a 10-0 tech fall victory, taking her only 35 seconds to end the match.
Next up at 130-pounds was
Riley White, also wrestling up a weight class. The first period ended with White on top 5-0. It took the Palm Coast, Fla. native about a minute into the second period to secure the points necessary for her 11-0 tech fall victory.
Tiyahna Askew picked up her second win by fall in under a minute this season. It took the All-American only 30 seconds to defeat Lila Eckert with Westminster.
With only 30 seconds left in the first period,
Josette Partney was able to finish off her competition, securing a 12-0 tech fall win. This brought the score up to 27-0.
Anastasia Hardin closed out the contested matches of the night against Anna Stephens. She was able to pin her opponent with only two seconds left in the first period, securing her a win, and bringing the score 32-0.
The Spartans ended the night with a score of 37-0 after
Dymeria Guillory won by forfeit in the 170-pound weight class. Coming up, women's wrestling will be facing off against some tough competition at the Missouri Valley College Open on Nov. 18-19 where they placed 19
th last year.
