VANCOUVER, Wash. — Donovan Denslow and David Fletcher represented the Missouri Baptist University Men's Cross Country team with fantastic times and endurance at the NAIA Men's Cross Country Championship 8k race on Nov. 17.
National championship returnee and superstar Denslow says, "We have put in about 14 hours a week just for this special moment." The the hard work definitely showed itself at the event.
Denslow placed 92nd out of 328 runners and finished with a time of 26:12:07.
Sophomore sensation David Fletcher ran a time of 26:51:05 and took 172nd place.
"I am very blessed with the opportunity to compete, and I think of every day as a gift," says Fletcher.
Denslow and Fletcher share a commitment and passion for the sport of cross country and their Spartan XC team.
Denslow finishes the 2023 season with four individual wins and four AMC Cross Country Runner of the Week Awards. Fletcher wraps up the season with a new personal record and impressive standings at multiple meets.
The MBU Men's Cross Country team had a successful 2023 season and will build off of this season for the future.
