ST. LOUIS - Behind four double digit scorers the Spartans beat Baptist Bible College by a score of 93-76.
From the opening tipoff the Spartans showed off their ability to score as they jumped out to a 23-18 lead in the first quarter shooting 62.5% from the field.
The second quarter was similar to the first as the Spartans still shot over 50% on their shot attempts and increased their lead to 11 points prior to halftime.
Sophia Horton led the team in scoring in the first half with 11 points only missing one shot in the first 20 minutes of play.
Amar Mansour was having a dominant night pulling down rebounds as she ended the first half with six.
The break for halftime was not enough to cool off the Spartans' offense as they put up 33 points in the third quarter alone, stretching their lead some more and putting the score at 80-65.
During the third quarter MBU gained their biggest lead of the night at 19 points in the final minute of the quarter.
Mansour reached double digit rebounds as she tacked on five more in the third quarter.
The fourth quarter slowed down offensively on both sides as the Spartans won the final frame 13-11 leading to a 93-76 win over the Patriots of Baptist Bible.
Mansour finished the game with a double-double scoring 14 points and grabbing 19 rebounds including nine offensive boards along with six assists.
Horton led the offensive brigade with 18 points followed by Bryce Dowell and Kayleigh Winch each with 17 points.
Mina Guevara-Goss finished the game with nine points and nine rebounds off the bench.
As a whole the Spartans finished the game shooting 53.5% from the field.
MoBap's offensive firepower came from the inside as they scored 66 points in the paint compared to the Patriots' 20.
The Spartans will return to the court following Christmas when they will compete in the Governors State University Tournament on Dec. 28 and 29.
