ST. LOUIS- After a standout performance last week (Dec 16), Nico Hill secured his first ever AMC Player of the Week award in the Spartans 72-58 win over College of the Ozarks.

Hill had a big comeback after being out of commission for a month due to an injury. The senior had a great first game back when the Spartans took on St. Ambrose back on December 6th, scoring 15 points against the Fighting Bees. Hill really found his groove against College of the Ozarks where he led the team to victory. He scored a career high 26 points against the Cougars, walking away as the top scorer in the game.

Hill was a menace on the boards, securing 12 rebounds, another career high for the Opunake, New Zealand product. This marked Hills second double-double as a Spartan, his first also against College of the Ozarks back on November 8, 2022. Hill remained steady at the line, sinking 10 out of 14 free throws, bringing his average to 71.4%.
