ST. LOUIS – On Thursday (Oct. 12), the Missouri Baptist University women's soccer team lost 3-0 to the University of Jamestown.
The Spartans were able to fend off the Jimmies for 40 minutes until the opposing team slipped in two goals at the end of the first half. Later in the second half they scored one more.
Madilynn Lombardo stood out on Missouri Baptist's defense, making a couple huge blocks. In goal,
Gabby Mattli made four saves.
Leah Maxvill,
Emma Selsor, and
Paige Rice were noticeable in the transition on the midfield.
Lombardo,
Skylar Hollingshead,
Kacey Watson, and
Gabbie Wood all made respectable shot attempts throughout the match as well.
MBU will play again on Saturday (Oct. 13) against AMC match up Stephens College in Columbia, Mo.
