ST. LOUIS — Missouri Baptist University men's soccer returns to the pitch this week for homecoming with a home game against Harris-Stowe State University on Wednesday, followed by a matchup against Hannibal-LaGrange University on Saturday.
The Spartans hold an 8-5-1 record and are coming off a 3-0 victory over Central Baptist College and a 1-1 draw against No. 16 Columbia College last week.
MBU is 3-0-1 in conference play and 4-2 at home this season.
Junior Marko Dordevic leads the team in goals with 11 and has contributed four assists this year. Edvin Mahmutovic and Sergej Misic are tied for second in goals with five each.
Sophomore goalkeeper Pawel Wolny started both games last week. He holds a 1.00 GAA and is 4-0-1 on the season.
The Spartans are averaging 2.50 goals per game and have outscored opponents 35-24 this season.
Harris-Stowe State University: The Spartans will face the Hornets at Spartan Field at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The match will be streamed live, and live stats will be available. Harris-Stowe (5-5-4) is on a three-game winning streak and holds a 3-2-2 record on the road.
The Hornets are averaging 1.20 goals per game, while the defense has a 1.27 GAA. Leonardo Mori leads the team with four goals, and Jose Uribe is second with three.
Hannibal-LaGrange University: MBU will take on the Trojans at Spartan Field at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. The match will be streamed live, and live stats will be available. Hannibal-LaGrange (6-5-2) is coming off a 4-0 win against Central Baptist College in its most recent game.
The Trojans are 3-3-1 on the road and average 1.75 goals per game.
