ST. LOUIS - After honoring the Spartans' seven seniors, Missouri Baptist University was held scoreless by Harris-Stowe in a 0-0 draw at Spartan Field.
The Hornets came out swinging right after the kickoff, but the Spartans were up to the test as they were able to keep out a solid push from Harris-Stowe.
Gabby Mattli was able to keep out four Hornet shots in the first half alone to keep the Spartans tied at 0-0 heading into the halftime break.
The physical game saw five yellow cards throughout its entirety.
The second half had more offense for the Spartans as they had four shots, three of them on goal. AnnaRose Eldred, Skylar Hollingshead, Kacey Watson, and Natalie Gum all had one shot on goal in the match.
The Spartans put the ball in the back of the net about halfway through the second half, but an offsides call took away the lone goal for Missouri Baptist as the game eventually ended in a 0-0 draw.
The draw brings the Spartans to 5-8-1 (3-1-1 AMC) with two matches left in the season on the road against William Woods and UHSP.
