BOONVILLE, Mo. — Missouri Baptist University's men's and women's golf teams both competed at the Central Methodist Spring Invitational at Hail Ridge Golf Course, with the men's team securing a podium finish and the women turning in a solid performance in a competitive NAIA field. The Spartan men finished tied for third with a two-round total of 584 (+16), while the women placed sixth at 732 (+164).
MBU climbed the leaderboard in the final round. Luke Gardner led the Spartans with a seventh-place finish at +2, delivering the team's top individual result of the tournament.
Will Dugal and Logan Malott each finished tied for 14th at +4, giving Missouri Baptist multiple top-15 contributors. Pedro Cordova followed in 24th at +7, while William Bomkamp rounded out the scoring group in 34th at +10.
Missouri Baptist's second-round push proved decisive, as both Dugal and Cordova posted rounds of 2-under to help the Spartans move into a tie for third by the end of play.
On the women's side, Missouri Baptist was led by GG Rogers, who finished 21st overall at +36 to pace the team. Elena Montalban placed 27th at +41 and showed improvement in the second round with a +12 effort. Priscila Rodriguez added a 23rd-place finish at +37, rounding out the Spartans' top performers.
Missouri Baptist will return to action when it hosts the MBU Invite in Alton, Illinois, at Spencer T. Olin Golf Course on April 13–14, 2026.
