ST. LOUIS — The Spartans return to action tomorrow at home with a game against the University of Jamestown, for a quick break from conference play.
Missouri Baptist University (6-5) is coming off a 3-2 comeback victory over Williams Baptist University last Saturday.
The Spartans are 2-0 in conference play and have a 2-2 record at home.
Marko Dordevic continues his impressive season after recording two more goals in MBU's victory over WBU. The junior is now up to ten goals on the year and was recently named AMC Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.
Edvin Mahmutovic has scored in back-to-back games for the Spartans, and the sophomore now has three goals on the season. Mahmutovic's goal against the Eagles was the game-winner for MBU.
The Spartans are averaging 2.55 goals per game and have outscored their opponents 28-21 this season.
University of Jamestown: MBU will face the Jimmies at Spartan Field at 7 p.m. The match will be streamed live, and live stats will be available. Jamestown (3-5-3) most recently lost to Bellevue (Neb.) 2-0 last Saturday. The Jimmies are 1-4-2 on the road this year.
Jamestown is averaging 2.36 goals per game, and the team's defense has a 1.91 goals-against average (GAA).
Jake Simson leads the Jimmies in scoring this season with eight goals, while Oscar Salgado is second with four.
Charlie Clark is the primary goalkeeper for Jamestown. The sophomore has started nine games, recorded 40 saves, and holds a 2.22 GAA. He has also posted two shutouts this season.
