St.Louis- Missouri Baptist women's wrestling fell at home to the McKendree Bearcats in a tough-fought dual on Wednesday night.

The Spartans hosted the nationally ranked #4 in NCAA, McKendree University, on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2024, in a fairly contested dual, eventually falling 28-18.

Lillian Hackworth started the night where she picked up a victory via forfeit at 103. The Bearcats went a six-match win streak from 110-145, which clinched them the dual.Â

That did not stop the Spartan's upper weights from claiming a few wins, starting with a technical fall from
Josette Partney at 160.
Emma Schreiber, who debuted at 180 in front of the home crowd this evening, and claimed a first-period technical fall. Then
Erica Cobos rounded out the night with a debut as she picked up the fall at 207.Â

Women's wrestling hits the road next Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2024, to take on future conference opponent William Woods. The dual will also feature the Men's squad. Â
