ST. LOUIS – Missouri Baptist University honored their seniors on Wednesday night before earning a three-set win over Hannibal-LaGrange University. The Spartans finished their conference schedule with a perfect 11-0 record after the win over the Trojans, entering the American Midwest Conference Championship Tournament as the first seed.

Missouri Baptist jumped out to a quick 10-1 lead in the first set and rode the momentum to a 25-16 victory behind a .148 hitting percentage and four service aces.
Luiza Arsufi picked up a pair of kills in the set and two service aces while
Syan Larmond helped the defense with a solo block.
Julia Pereira fueled an early set two comeback with a pair of service aces to put MBU ahead 6-3. Two more aces from
Gabi Jakubowska propped up another run to extend the lead to 11-4. A 4-0 stretch later put the Trojans within striking distance, but a kill from
Madison Moore and an ace from
Paige Glueck helped the Spartans close the door 25-19.
At 7-4 in the third set, Jakubowska served 13 consecutive times, logging seven service aces in the stretch to push the lead to 20-4. She would end the day with nine aces, two off from the single-game mark set by Ana Mercado in 2006. She later ended the sweep with her team-high 10
th kill.
