LIBERTY, Mo.- The Missouri Baptist women's wrestling team traveled to William Jewell College to take on tough competition, which included two division one programs, Lindenwood University and The University of Iowa.
Although the Spartans struggled as they had a few holes in the line-up,
Lillian Hackworth went 4-1 on the day. Other highlights included
Emma Schreiber,
Abby Chandler, and
Makayla Murray each collected two wins on the day.
The big win of the day for Missouri Baptist came in the tournament's second round as the Spartans shut out the William Jewell College B team 45-0, where the Spartans also picked up three falls.
The women's wrestling team will travel to Naperville, Ill., on Sunday, December 15th, 2024, to compete in the North Central College Open.
