MARSHALL, Mo. – On Wednesday (Aug. 28), Missouri Baptist University Women's Soccer lost to (RV) Missouri Valley College 6-0 after a 90-minute battle.
Despite MBU's best efforts on both defense and offense, MoVal's players proved to be difficult and tenacious opponents.
Across the field, Missouri Valley is a talented team, returning multiple all-conference athletes and an All-American. Six different players scored six goals on MoBap throughout the match.
Missouri Valley Women's Soccer scored two of their goals off corner kicks and the others occurred during regular play.
On MBU's defense,
Ellie Mollish and

Hannah Miller started in goal, making three saves in the first half. Senior goalkeeper
Gabby Mattli relieved Miller after the freshman faced nine impressive shots.
Mattli prevented any more Viking points from getting on the scoreboard, making one save in the second half.
On offense, MoBap attempted to climb back into the game until the very end. They showed moments of explosiveness and speed amid MoVal's defensive domination, but MBU could not finish on net.

AnnaRose Eldred took one on the goal.
Gabbie Wood tried to score as well. Ultimately, MoVal took the reins of the match.
