Spartans Prepare for Home Clash Against Culver-Stockton, Road Test at Trinity Christian

ST. LOUIS — The Spartans are back in action this week with a home game tomorrow against Culver-Stockton College at 7:30 p.m. at Spartan Field. Later this week, Missouri Baptist University will travel to Palos Heights, Illinois, for a match up with Trinity Christian College on Sept. 14 at 11 a.m.

The Spartans are 3-2 on the season and are coming off a 1-0 loss against (RV) Benedictine College in the team's home opener last Saturday.

MBU is currently averaging 2.4 goals per game and has outscored its opponents 12-8 to start the year.

Junior Marko Dordevic continues to lead the team in goals this season with six. He also has one assist on the year.

Sophomore Sean Stone has had a productive year, holding a 1.60 GAA with 21 saves.

Culver-Stockton College: The Spartans will face the Wildcats at Spartan Field on Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m., following a women's soccer game. The match will be streamed live, and live stats will be available. Culver-Stockton is 0-2-2 and looking for its first victory of the season.

Ruben Reinertsen and Tobias Vales are players to watch for the Wildcats. Reinertsen leads the team in goals with two, while Vales is second with one.

Culver-Stockton has only had two players score this season and has found the back of the net just three times.

Trinity Christian College: MBU will face the Trolls at the Schaaf Athletic Complex on Saturday morning at 11 a.m. The game will be streamed live ($). Trinity Christian is 5-1 and 3-1 at home.

Sophomore David Hernandez is a player to watch for the Trolls. He leads the team with five goals and has one assist. Senior Guilherme Correia is second on the team in goals with three and has recorded six points this season.

Trinity Christian has nine different players who have scored this season. The team is currently averaging 2.67 goals per game and has outscored its opponents 16-5.
