ST. LOUIS – Tonight (Sept. 16), Missouri Baptist University Women's Soccer will play Mid-America Christian University under the lights on Spartan Field at 7:00 p.m.
MBU has played three strong teams on their home turf, only improving with each match. Two of the teams they faced were ranked and receiving votes, and all three teams were undefeated at the time they played the Spartans.
Although Mid-America Christian University has recorded some impressive statistics and holds a 4-0-1 record overall, they are not ranked in the NAIA Coach's Top 25 Poll. They are anticipated to be a more evenly matched team.
MACU and MBU both shutout Baker University, with MACU scoring three of their own, and MBU scoring two. Both teams also share similar shot on goal percentages. Mid-America Christian has a SOG percentage of .486, and Missouri Baptist has one of .460.
In 2022, the Spartans beat the Evangels at home, and in 2023, they lost away.
