ST. LOUIS — The Spartans return to action this week with a road game Tuesday against Clarke University and a home matchup against Mission University on Saturday, which will be the team's first conference match of the season.
Missouri Baptist University is 4-4 on the season and is coming off a 2-1 loss against No. 13 Cumberland University last week.
The Spartans have lost two straight but hold a winning 3-2 record on the road this year and will look to get back in the win column tomorrow.
MBU is currently averaging 2.25 goals per game and has outscored its opponents 18-14 in 2024.
Junior Marko Dordevic missed last week's contest due to injury but still leads the team in goals with six this season.
Sophomore Sergej Misic netted his fifth goal of the season against the Phoenix last week. Misic's tally was the Spartans' lone goal in the contest.
Callum McKinlay made his season debut in net for MBU last week. He made five saves and allowed just two goals against No. 13 Cumberland.
Clarke University: The Spartans will face the Pride at Burrows Field in Dubuque, Iowa, on Tuesday at 4 p.m. The match will be streamed live, and live stats will be available. Clarke is 3-2 and currently on a two-game losing streak, with a 1-1 record at home this year.
Clarke is averaging two goals per game and has been outscored 13-10 on the season.
The leading scorer for the Pride is Luke Persenico, who has tallied five goals this season. Daniel Valverde is second on the team in goals with two.
Mission University: MBU will kick off the AMC conference slate against the Patriots at Spartan Field on Saturday evening at 7 p.m., following a home football game. The match will be streamed live, and live stats will be available. Mission is 1-2 and 0-2 away from home this season.
