WALNUT RIDGE, ARK. - At Williams Baptist the Spartans' offense went quiet in the middle frames as they were outpaced 87-45 by a high powered Eagles squad.
The Spartans showcased their highest scoring quarter out of the gate as they posted 17 points in the first 10 minutes, but the Eagles were able to find success on the offensive end as well as they tallied 15 points of their own. Turnovers played a crucial role in the quarter as WBU forced nine.
The second quarter did not go in favor of the Spartans as they were only able to tally eight points. The third quarter went the same way as Missouri Baptist tacked eight more on to their total, finding themselves behind 33-66.
The Eagles finished strong as well as they would go on to outscore the Spartans again and come out on top 87-45.
Turnovers hurt the Spartans throughout the game with 25 leading to 24 points on the other end.
